“THE” ONE-STOP-SHOP IN PROTOTYPING
PERFECTION THROUGH OPTIMISATION
Prototype construction in mechanical engineering includes the process of producing initial physical models of machines, devices or components used in mechanical engineering. These prototypes are developed to validate the design, test functionality and identify potential problems before series production begins.
KMF covers all relevant phases of prototype construction and offers tailor-made solutions for our customers:
CONCEPT
DEVELOPMENT
Ideas and concepts are collected and evaluated, often through sketching, CAD modelling or other design methods.
PROTOTYPE
DESIGN
Detailed designs are created based on the selected concepts. This also includes the selection of materials, manufacturing techniques and components.
PROTOTYPE MANUFACTURING
The prototype is manufactured by CNC machining, casting, welding or other manufacturing techniques, depending on the requirements of the project.
TEST & EVALUATION
The manufactured prototype is subjected to various tests to evaluate its performance, durability, safety and other relevant properties. This can include laboratory tests, field tests or simulations.
ITERATIVE IMPROVEMENTS
Based on the test results, changes are made to the prototype to fix problems, improve performance or make other adjustments.
VALIDATION
After successful completion of the tests and iterations, the prototype is validated to ensure that it meets the requirements and specifications.
This structured prototyping approach is complemented by interesting business models such as Open Book Billing. Open Book Billing focuses on transparency. Our customers get insight into all costs and expenses incurred during the prototype construction process. This enables trustful cooperation and clear communication about financial aspects.
